![]() ![]() ![]() John had another event to attend but stayed for a while to talk with Frank’s family and our membership.Ĭounty Legislator Ed Mangano spoke next remembering Frank as a friend and political adversary. John presented Mildred and Frank’s family a citation from the Town of Oyster Bay recognizing Frank for his community involvement and civic dedication. John remembered Frank as a friend and colleague a person who always had the community’s best interest at heart. Henry then called Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto to the floor. Tom thanked Mildred for all Frank had done and stayed for the entire evening. Tom has known Frank and his family for many years. Tom remembered Frank as a family man, a friend, a veteran, an inventor, a pilot, a community volunteer, political activist, and life long Democratic Party member. When Stanley finished Henry called Nassau County Executive Tom Souzzi to the floor. He spoke of the development of Joseph Lane, the Greek Church, the proposed cell phone towers, heliports and the close bond he and Frank had established over the years. Stanley gave a brief history of the organization and Frank’s involvement from the beginning. Henry then introduced the former President of the HGCA, Stanley Kobin to say a few words about Frank. Anyone interested who has been a member in good standing for at least one year and is ready to take on the challenge please contact any of our board members for further information.īefore beginning, our new Secretary Judi Roche presented Mildred a bouquet of carnations from the Association. The office of Public Relations Officer remains vacant. Ten new Block Captains were sworn in and the following board members were elected and installed: John Simonello Executive Board Member, Judi Roche Secretary, Bruce Wimbiscus Treasurer, Denis Steinhardt Second Vice President, Nick Sarandis First Vice President, and Henry A. Once the elections and vote on family dues was completed Henry gave the floor to Executive Board Member and Election Committee Chair, John Simonello. A $10.00 donation per family is required by August 8th made payable to Hicksville Gardens Civic Association Post Office Box 624, Hicksville NY 11802-0624. Pertinent group issues and correspondences were read and Denise Steinhardt updated all on the Association’s Picnic scheduled for August 13th at Geise Park between the hours of 11am and 5pm. When completed President Henry Goessmann called the meeting to order with a Pledge of Allegiance and Roll Call. ![]() ![]() The presentation then showcased our community at its best with photographs of the 2005 Hicksville Memorial Day Parade. Prior to the meeting being called to order Jessica Goessmann presented a PowerPoint presentation documenting membership submitted photographs of our community’s concerns and issues. #JOHN GOBAN INSTALL#On June 9th 2005, one hundred and five (105) Hicksville Community residents and Gardens Civic members gathered at the Hicksville Public Library to install the new Board Members and Block Captains of the Hicksville Gardens Civic Association. ![]()
